Betty Bailey
1936-2017
COLORADO CITY -- Betty Kathrine Bailey, age 80, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Mitchell County Nursing and Rehab Center in Colorado City. Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Loraine with Reverend Herb Roever officiating. Private family interment was held at Loraine Cemetery. McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater was in charge of arrangements.
Betty was born March 9, 1936 in Bryan County, Oklahoma, to the late Gene and Mattie Lee (Mansell) Duke. Betty married Roy Dee Bailey January 6, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma. They moved to Loraine in 1976. Roy passed away in December of 2007. Betty was a housewife and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Bailey and wife Teresa of Loraine, Gary Bailey and wife Liz of Big Spring, Danny Bailey and wife JoAnna of Big Spring, Melody Morris and husband Mike of Loraine, Kathy Bailey and Jim of Archille, Oklahoma, and Misty Bailey of Denver, Colorado and her sister, Lucille Beshires of Archille, Oklahoma. Betty has 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Alan and Kevin Bailey; daughter Renee Bailey; a granddaugher Marion Eagle Bailey; and a brother T.J. Duke.

W.D. Whitesides
1918-2017
WESTBROOK -- W.D. Whitesides, age 99, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the home of his daughter.
W.D. was born and raised in Mitchell County and married his wife Clola Wilson September 4, 1937 in Colorado City. They were married 73 years. W.D. started working on the Charlie Thompson Ranch and later moved and started working in the oilfield. He eventually went to work for Halliburton Oilfield Services and worked for them for 25 years which 13 of those years were spent in Farmington, New Mexico. He retired from Halliburton and he and his wife returned to Texas in 1970. They settled in Sweetwater where he worked for the City of Sweetwater operating heavy equipment, then moved to Westbrook where he went into business for himself operating heavy equipment.
W.D. is survived by his daughter, Sue and husband Wayne Pierce of Westbrook. He has four grandsons, Tom Whitesides and wife Georgeann of Colorado City, Todd Whitesides of Colorado City, DeWayne Pierce, Cary Pierce and wife Tracy of Westbrook; and a granddaughter, Stephany Brower and husband Bryan of Plant City, Florida. He has 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clola; his son, T.A.; and his two sisters.
The family received visitors Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services were held Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2 p.m at First Baptist Church, Westbrook.
Almaz Webb
1940-2017
GRANBURY -- Almaz Ruby Webb, 76, of Loraine passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2017 in Granbury. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Loraine with Herb Roever officiating. Burial followed in the Loraine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Loraine.
Almaz was born in Sweetwater to Eddie and Ruby Nayfa on August 9, 1940. She graduated from McMurry University and worked as a school teacher for 30 plus years. She married Linton Ray Webb on March 5, 1967. She loved her church and sang in the church choir for many years.
Almaz is preceded in death by Linton Ray Webb, her husband of 42 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Barton and husband John of Midland, Shelli Berry and husband David of Tolar, Sheryl Dowell and husband Randy of Huckaby; grandchildren, Alyssa Barton, Allie Seaman, Gage Dowell, Cameron Barton, Kollin Dowell, Kailin Dowell, Braegen Berry, Mason Berry, and Chase Barton.
Pallbearers were Gage Dowell, Cameron Barton, Kollin Dowell, Braegen Berry, Mason Berry and Chase Barton.
Robert Aguilar
LORAINE - Robert Antonio “Anthony” Aguilar, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 5th. Anthony spent most of his career dedicated to his profession in the oil field as a truck supervisor. His love of family could be seen in all he did. Those left to cherish Anthony’s memory are his wife, Mary Ann Limones Aguilar and his children, Daniel Matthew Finley, Skylar Sierra Aguilar, and Robert Anthony Aguilar III.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Mary Aguilar; sister, Amanda Roberta Aguilar; and brother, TJ Aguilar. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Robert Anthony Aguilar.
A funeral service for Anthony was held on Friday, February 10th at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Loraine. Interment followed at Loraine Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday evening February 9th from 5 to 8 pm at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home with a Rosary service afterwards at 6pm.
